Important news about Annual Scientific Meeting 2020
The AEPU Executive Committee has been monitoring the Covid-19 situation closely in relation to the conference plans and we have now unfortunately made the decision to not hold the event this year. The situation concerning large gatherings is still too uncertain and we also recognise the difficult period of work this has been for those working in the NHS and how this may make attending an event too difficult this year, even if we can go ahead. Instead, the next AEPU Annual Scientific Meeting will be held on 11-12 November 2021 and remain at the Mercure Grand Hotel, Bristol, as we’d planned for this year
The programme for this year was already underway and we’ll still run the content that was relevant, as well as review it for next year to ensure the excellent education you receive at the conference is as timely and as high-quality as ever.
In the meantime, we don’t want to leave it over a year until we see each other again and so we are planning to launch a series of webinars over the next few months to ensure we can still bring you important clinical updates and much-needed CPD. We will start with a session on Covid-19 and early pregnancy in June. Please look out for details on dates, times and how to book very soon. Most importantly, all of the online content we put on will be free to access and available to take part in live or in an on-demand library to watch at your own convenience.
While we plan the rest of the webinars, we’d love to hear from you about what you’d find useful so we can plan the best programme for you. We’d be grateful if you could take a few moments to complete this short survey – please click here to give us your thoughts.
We hope to see you soon ‘virtually’ and we look forward to being together in Bristol next year.
With best wishes,
Rachel
